The growing population of pigeons in many parts of the world is becoming a very nasty problem.

One of the tourist attractions in Barcelona and other parts of Europe is feeding pigeons in plazas and patios of historical landmarks. However, the birds have increasingly become a problem for the past decade as they tend to trash the city, turning it into a giant dump.

At a pigeon impacted facility, plastic owls normally fail to keep the birds away and after a while, pigeons will use the owl as a convenient perch. Pigeon abatement using OvoControl, birth control for birds, can manage down that problem population of birds.

Customers are always asking where to use OvoControl. While all sites with pigeons can benefit from an OvoControl contraceptive program, some are just better suited than others. Please see the graphic for details.

Many of our customers have installed new gel type roof surfaces or other sensitive materials. The last thing a facility manager needs is damage to the new surface from the legs of an automatic feeder.

Many different sites and facilities are reporting success with pigeon contraception as a means to manage pigeons. For example, National Environmental Services in Peoria, AZ started an OvoControl program at the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Station in Arizona nearly two years ago.
